As a volunteer organization, resources are limited requiring them to refer patients to outside sources and specialists. Though referred by the clinic, all the specialists involved in my care treated me with dignity and respect and held the clinic in their highest regard. That speaks volumes.
The clinic is there to help area residents who for whatever reason cannot afford medical care. For a while, I was one of those residents. Not only did they save my life by sending me to a local hospital for more in-depth testing and analysis, they were also some of the most thorough, friendly folks I’ve dealt with in the health-care industry in all my adult life. And they are volunteers!
Throughout my life I have volunteered with blind people because I had worked for the Library f/t Blind & Handicapped. Retiring, moving to Johns Island prompted me to look closer for a volunteer opportunity. BIFMC was a wonderful opportunity to really help the community...and the community is really worth helping!
Great staff. Doctor very thorough.
Proud to work alongside a truly dedicated staff and exceptional volunteers. The physicians and nurses in particular demonstrate unmatched compassion for BIFMC patients. A great place to work and volunteer.
Clinic administration personnel had me bring the plethora of bills from outside sources referred by them during my testing and medical procedures for restitution by them.
I like my doctor very attentive
